A programme for Senior Executives, Senior Leaders and Managers who wish to equip themselves with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform effectively as executive coaches and leadership mentors and make a difference.
The development approach includes:
1. Preparation: reading lists and self-assessment tools to enable participants to prepare for the programme. The reading lists are provided approx. 4 weeks before the first workshop.
2. Attending the 7 or 9 day modular programme: The modules will develop your coaching and mentoring capability with practice, simulations, and feedback. There are opportunities to coach/mentor peers and clients and receive specific tutorage. Reflection on practice in a learning log is encouraged throughout.
3. The use of coaching and mentoring in a leadership context is an integral part of the programme. Tutorial support is provided with the work based assignment throughout the programme. This assignment is a key component in the approach to coaching in developing leaders and leadership.
Throughout we work in a highly interactive experiential way, so the programmes are not so much theory as practice oriented. Ongoing peer and tutor feedback is the backbone, with approx 80% of time focusing on practice.

Snapshot of new code:
- changes to adjustment of awards and time limites;
- SDRP abolished;
- employee right to be accompanied;
- new rule on making decisions in the absence of the employee
- no automatic unfair dismissal for failure to follow the new code;
- new code does not apply to redundancy dismissals or non-renewal of fixed term contracts.
There are other signifcant changes which need to be considered.
